The main areas of focus this week are wrapping up work on passive (or antipassive) strategies and then exploring and creating strategies for a causative. In other words, it’s a week of valency-shifting!

This week begins with a focus on documenting the verb inflections you’ve created so far, updating your dictionary entries to ensure all newly created words made it into your dictionary, and exploring options for differentiating active and passive voice.

This week continues a focus on verbs and the inflections they can occur with, from creating more inflections to figuring out negation strategies. The end of the week shifts to documentation to make sure your verb forms are described and exemplified in your language’s grammar.

Throughout this week, prompts will focus on creating indefinite pronoun forms (and related modifier forms), documenting those indefinite forms, and then preparing for a focus on clause structures and verb forms. This week ends a major unit that has focused on nouns and noun phrases. Next week will shift to a new focus on verbs!
